Brenna and Jason's Engagement Portraits! {St. Louis Wedding Photographer} Firefly Universe Fine Portrait Photography

August 16, 2012 · Engagement Sessions, Weddings

Brenna and Jason have been coming to our house for two seasons of True Blood since they don’t have HBO at home.  All last season, I wondered if they were going to get engaged.  And this season, they did!!  Jason took Brenna to Chicago and proposed while they were on a (really long) walk.  I was so excited when they told me they wanted me to shoot their wedding!  I absolutely LOVE engagement sessions, but theirs was especially fun because Brian (my hubby/2nd shooter) and I went on a double date with them (which was their perfect idea)!

Here are some of my favorite shots from their session!

So cute…

I love the moment before a perfect kiss!

It was hard to get them to show their silly side… ; )

I really love this one…

Brenna was a little nervous about the ferris wheel ride…

Jason decided to make it seem even scarier…

And then he made her feel better…

I forgot my chalkboard and chalk, but, luckily, we stumbled upon a secret room with a giant chalkboard to use!!  Don’t forget to save the date (unless you don’t get an invitation…then you can go ahead and make other plans…there just isn’t enough room for everyone to come).

Brenna and Jason, you two are adorable!!  Thanks again for giving me this great honor!

Robin + Ray ~ In Love and Laughter ~ Firefly Universe Fine Portrait Photography

September 16, 2011 · Engagement Sessions, Weddings

This couple is so incredibly cute together!  When we first arrived downtown on Laclede’s Landing, we discovered a surprise (to us) Labor Day celebration going on!  Despite Ray’s concerns about the large number of people and the clouds that threatened to cover up our beautiful setting sun, we got some pretty amazing shots, plus we had some great music to entertain us.  These two lovebirds are exactly why I love shooting engagement sessions.

This Jaguar was the perfect match to their favorite colors!

The sun was setting, so we quickly made our way back to the stars’ trailer (i.e. their car) for one more outfit change.

While stopping for a quick photo in the parking lot, a nice event goer offered his totally rad 1942 Chevy pickup truck for us to use.  Thank you!!!!

I was pretty tired by this point, and the boots I wore were, apparently, not made for walking, but Robin and Ray really wanted to get a little closer to the Arch.  How could I say no to these two?  I couldn’t!  So off we went for one more shot.

I am so excited to shoot your wedding next year R&R!  You are adorable!!  And, someday, I will take you up on that beer…. : )

I loooooove them! Thank you so much for a wonderful night. And thanks again for staying out late with us. By the way, we stuck around longer and found out it was the Muddy River Blues Festival!
