The December 5th Fund {St. Louis Lifestyle Photographer}
December 12, 2018 Events, Family Bonds, Snapshots
On Sunday, an incredible organization extended their generosity and kindness to my little brother Jesse, his wife Alecia, and their four children. The December 5th Fund brought approximately 30 volunteers out to my brother’s house to clean up and organize every floor and room, the front porch and back deck, and the garage. Along with local businesses, the organization donated time, furniture, gift cards, plants, bedding, household necessities, and so much more. While they worked to take care of the mess that cancer has brought into Jesse and Alecia’s home, they gave Jesse, Alecia, and their closest friends and family members a very special day to help them forget about the fight that we’ve all been battling together over the last nine months. You can read more about the organization by visiting their website. Here are some images from the first two-thirds of the day…
The day started with a delicious breakfast at Rooster on South Grand. I’m so happy Jesse liked my suggestion to go there since they offer great vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options (there were seven of us picky eaters), as well as lots of meat options to satisfy the rest of the group!
After breakfast, a smaller group had fun bowling for two hours at Pin Up Bowl on Delmar Blvd. in the U. City Loop!
As Jesse, Alecia, and the kids headed to the Blues Game, I went to their house to get some shots of the beautiful job the volunteers had done. What an unbelievable amount of Love they contributed. My heart is swelling.
Thank you to all of the volunteers and businesses who helped make this day special!

I had a nice time getting to know a fairly new-to-St. Louis family a couple of weeks ago in the Botanical Garden. It would have been even nicer if it wasn’t dark, cloudy, and in the forties during their family portrait session! Luckily, I was still able to get some sweet moments captured and the girls didn’t freeze in their dresses!

After photographing both of these kiddos a few times when they were babies, seven years went by before I got to see them again, so I was incredibly excited when Mom booked a family portrait session this Fall!! Of course, I always have a great time during sessions, but it’s especially fun when the children are happy, easy-going, and adorable like these two! Thanks to a couple of suggestions from Mom, I fell in love with a location at which I had never been, so that added some new inspiration to the shoot. I went a little wild while picking out my favorite images, so there are more than I normally have time to share, but here they are…

What a gorgeous day we had at Faust Park during this Fall family portrait session! I was so excited to see Mom, Dad, and Big Brother for the first time in a couple of years, and to meet Little Brother for the first time! These two boys sure made me work to get some good shots, but it was a blast, as always!! I hope you all had as much fun as I did! Here are a few of my favorite moments from our shoot…

Welcome to the world Baby “W!” I’ve had the honor of taking his brothers’ portraits a couple of times, so I was extra excited when Mom called to tell me that he was on the way! What a fun family with three adorable boys!!! Here are some super sweet moments from Baby “W’s” newborn session at seven weeks!
One of my favorite things in the world is a full baby belly…
OMGosh!! What a perfect moment!
I think this is the biggest newborn smile I’ve ever caught with my camera!

This family seriously deserves a round of applause. Out of four children, they managed to complete my “Growing Baby’s 1st Year” set of portrait sessions with their first baby (that’s not so hard) and their FOURTH (that’s a much bigger challenge)!! We were so lucky to have a gorgeous, sunny, 60 degree day during Baby “J’s” 1st birthday photo session last Sunday. Unfortunately, the beautiful weather didn’t make it any easier to get two adults, two children, a toddler, and a 12 month old baby to all smile and look at the camera at the same time! I still had so much fun with them though! Here are a few moments from Baby “J’s” portrait session:

Lucky, lucky, lucky me!!! I’m so excited that I got to photograph this family again! I have been given the honor ever since their first son was born, but it had been quite awhile since I’d seen them. I had so much fun capturing these sweet, fun moments!!

With the super busy holiday season, I skipped a few blog posts, so it’s been over a month since I last uploaded my favorites from a portrait session. It was so fun to pick these special moments out and feature them! We got lucky on Christmas Eve with weather that was beautiful enough for us to capture these moments outside in front of Grandma and Grandpa’s home. What I really love is that these families all live in a cul-de-sac together on a gorgeous hill surrounded by trees. For years, snapshots of the growing grandchildren have been taken on these steps. It was an honor to continue the tradition.

December 11, 2015 Family Bonds, Kiddos
There were quite a few photographers in the park on this beautiful Fall day, and we had so much fun during our family portrait session that I’m afraid I may have driven everyone else crazy, especially the photographer shooting the extended family portraits which were very distinguished and quiet. His kids were very well behaved. I have to admit that I was impressed that they were able to stand still and cooperate for so long!! My kiddos, on the other hand, were given lots of freedom to have a blast, making my job more difficult, but also very real and extra fun!! Here are some moments I captured!
