It was a beautiful day for family portraits! Mom had covered all the bases by sending me pictures of Baby “M’s” outfits ahead of time and requesting a few specific props (a wagon, a chair or ottoman, a vintage box, balloons, and baskets, as well as asking if they could bring their dog). When we met, I took a look in Mom and Dad’s car to see that they had also brought props (an ottoman, a basket, flowers, toys, a wooden horse, and more). I’ve never seen so many options for one session! Unfortunately, Baby “M” had other plans for us. She had a cold, and was most likely teething, so all the toys in the world weren’t going to matter on this day. She took her first ride on a carousel, and had fun with Mom and Dad before the ride started, but wasn’t quite sure what to think once it started moving. She had a great time in my wagon, but soon became tired…not tired of the wagon, but just plain tired of everything! She was unhappy almost the rest of the shoot, which lasted a total of three hours as we tried and tried to make her happy!! Despite all the tears from this poor little cutie, I still got some great shots! Here are some of my favorites…
Finally! Baby “M” got what she wanted…
