We had another great day in early January where I had the chance to shoot outside. What fun I had with this adorable 1 year old! He’s grown so much and is even cuter than the last time I saw him for his newborn portraits!!
I can barely contain my excitement at the fact that I have had THREE outdoor portrait sessions in January!!!! How lucky am I! Here is session #1, taken on January 5, 2012 of this cute little guy who I haven’t seen since he was just a few days old! Mom really wanted a vintage sled, and was so happy when she happened to find one that actually belonged to her hubby when he was little. I had so much fun with “K” that it was hard to just pick a few favorites to post, but here they are…

Thanks again to “R” and her family for allowing me to capture some fun moments in celebration of “R’s” 5th birthday! This is our third year together, and it has been so fun to see “R” grow up into a beautiful big girl! Her smile and sweet personality made it easy for me to get some beautiful shots!

I’m so happy that my friend has allowed me to photograph all three of her babies as newborns, around 3 months, and at 12 months (plus some maternity portraits). Unfortunately, moms just tend to get busier and busier with each new baby (trust me, I know!). So, we may have missed this little cutie’s 1st birthday photos, but we sure some great 18 month shots!

I’ve had so much fun visiting this family for their design session, scoping out great spots around their home in Belleville, IL, and especially taking their portraits in honor of sweet little “I’s” 1st birthday! And lucky for me, Grandma and Grandpa came at the end of the session to get the birthday girl excited and smiling again. I’m sure your birthday was wonderful, Baby “I!”

I was so excited to hear from “K’s” daddy that his baby boy was already 1 year old! If I don’t get to shoot the entire 1st year of a baby’s life, I still love it when I can at least shoot the maternity, newborn, and 1st birthday portraits! I had so much fun taking photos of my cousin, his beautiful wife, and their completely adorable son “A” in honor of his 2nd birthday! I can’t believe it’s already been over two years since I began taking their family portraits…from maternity, all the way through “A’s” first year. There was a lot of rock exploration this time, and many other new things to discover too! “A” was so curious, and got excited when he found “bugs, worms, and rocks” even though the bugs were just bits of dirt on trains, and the worms were actually big piles of rusty chains. Too cute!!!

I had the pleasure of meeting an amazing woman a couple of months ago. We bartered a birthday party photo session in exchange for two gorgeous handmade blankets for my newborn sessions! I was so excited about this deal, especially when I found out about the fun “Hangin’ with My Gnomies” birthday gnome theme. But, I was even more excited to edit the portraits of one of the most adorable little guys ever!! WOW…what a cutie! Happy birthday “E”!

I can’t believe my little buddy is one year old!!! I have been taking his portraits every two months since he was a newborn, and I’ve had so much fun watching him grow!
