Welcome to the World Baby

March 24, 2022 · Family Bonds, Growing Babies, Just Born

I was so excited to be able to snuggle with this sweet, sleepy baby girl during her newborn portrait session this week. She decided to surprise her parents and big brother, Scout, by making her entrance a couple of weeks early! Here are a few of my favorite images from the session…

I caught a smile with Dad!

Poor Scout was scared of the camera click, so it was hard to get him to come into the room for a family portrait!

Welcome to the World Twin Baby Boys!! {St. Louis Newborn Photographer}

February 9, 2022 · Family Bonds, Just Born

What an absolute joy it was to shoot a twin newborn portrait session for my friends, Brenna and Jason, today. The boys were due yesterday, but they made their entrance into the world ten days ago, and they are doing great!  I am so excited to watch these babies grow up and to see my friends in this whole new wonderful phase of life.

Twins on the Way!! {St. Louis Maternity & Newborn Portrait Photographer}

December 21, 2021 · Family Bonds, Maternity

This beautiful couple is just absolutely amazing in so many ways. They are smart, kind, patient, creative, funny, silly, and down-to-earth. I had fun during their their maternity portrait session at the Missouri Botanical Garden last month! It was a chilly day, but the colors were still gorgeous even near the end of November.

Congratulations Brenna and Jason!! I love you and can’t wait to meet your twin babies!!!

Two Birthday Boys!! {St. Louis Baby & Family Photographer}

December 17, 2021 · Birthday Shoots, Family Bonds, Growing Babies, Kiddos

It’s been years since I’ve taken photos at the Museum of Transportation, but I’ve always loved it. The location was perfect for this family’s double birthday portrait session!

Surprise Engagement Portraits {St. Louis Portrait Photographer}

December 2, 2021 · Family Bonds

Between art shows last month, I had the opportunity to visit Fontainebleau State Park in Louisiana. While I was getting ready to take sunset photos at Lake Pontchartrain, this adorable couple asked me if I was a photographer. Sammy had surprised his girlfriend by proposing to her, and asked if I could take some professional portraits of them during this very special moment. I was honored!! And I have to admit that these are my favorite photos from that evening. I wish them much love and many years of happiness!!!!

December 13, 2020 · Family Bonds, Growing Babies, Just Born

Oh boy!! This adorable family sure has their hands full now with two baby boys only a year apart! I’m so excited to have been able to photograph these guys when their first bundle came into the world, again, just last month, for his 1st birthday portraits, and now for his baby brother’s newborn portrait session. I look forward to meeting Baby #3 in the not-too-distant future as well! 🙂 Congratulations everyone!

Summertime Family Portraits {St. Louis Family Portrait Photographer}

August 28, 2020 · Family Bonds

Well, since my busiest time of the year is the Fall and Spring, and because we were hit with a pandemic that shut everything down this year, my first portrait session of 2020 was just a few weeks ago! I was so happy to see this sweet family again, as it had been a couple of years since I last photographed their youngest daughter’s Bat Mitzvah. We had quite a lot of fun, until I walked into a bee hive!! I ended up with seven stings. Chaos ensued as I left my camera on the ground and ran away screaming,  eventually stripping down to my undies (with “Mom” protecting me) to get a few stragglers out of my clothes. Mom ended up with a sting on her forehead and poor “C,” the youngest teen, ended up with one on her cheek. I felt SO bad, but they were the absolute BEST sports, and very supportive of all the pain I endured. Here are some of my favorite images from their portrait session!

Welcome to the World Baby "J!" {St. Louis Newborn Photographer}

November 19, 2019 · Family Bonds, Just Born

Oh BOY!! I got to spend a few hours last week with this adorable, cuddly, perfect newborn baby and his sweet parents. Newborn photography is one of my two favorite types of photography with people, and it has been a little while since I’ve had a newborn portrait session, so this one brought me extra joy. To make it even better, Baby Jason stayed asleep for almost the entire session. That’s always a bonus! I’m so happy for this new growing family and wish them lots of luck, patience, sleep, and LOVE! Here are some highlights from their newborn photography session…

Adorable Family Portraits {St. Louis Family Portrait Photographer}

November 18, 2019 · Family Bonds, Kiddos

What fun it is to spend time with four adorable children (and their awesome parents, of course), especially when I’ve been lucky enough to have photographed them as they’ve grown up over the last eight years! I’ll admit, at these ages, family portrait sessions can be quite challenging, but are also full of energy, fun, and laughter. Here are some of my favorite images from our beautiful Fall photography session a few weeks ago!

The December 5th Fund {St. Louis Lifestyle Photographer}

December 12, 2018 · Events, Family Bonds, Snapshots

On Sunday, an incredible organization extended their generosity and kindness to my little brother Jesse, his wife Alecia, and their four children. The December 5th Fund brought approximately 30 volunteers out to my brother’s house to clean up and organize every floor and room, the front porch and back deck, and the garage. Along with local businesses, the organization donated time, furniture, gift cards, plants, bedding, household necessities, and so much more. While they worked to take care of the mess that cancer has brought into Jesse and Alecia’s home, they gave Jesse, Alecia, and their closest friends and family members a very special day to help them forget about the fight that we’ve all been battling together over the last nine months. You can read more about the organization by visiting their website. Here are some images from the first two-thirds of the day…

The day started with a delicious breakfast at Rooster on South Grand. I’m so happy Jesse liked my suggestion to go there since they offer great vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options (there were seven of us picky eaters), as well as lots of meat options to satisfy the rest of the group!

After breakfast, a smaller group had fun bowling for two hours at Pin Up Bowl on Delmar Blvd. in the U. City Loop!

As Jesse, Alecia, and the kids headed to the Blues Game, I went to their house to get some shots of the beautiful job the volunteers had done. What an unbelievable amount of Love they contributed. My heart is swelling.

Thank you to all of the volunteers and businesses who helped make this day special!
