This sweet, fun, beautiful young woman is becoming a Bat Mitzvah THIS weekend!! I’m excited to see Rylie and her family at her Bat Mitzvah rehearsal tomorrow morning!
I had the honor of photographing her twin siblings’ B’nai Mitzvah four years ago, so it was especially fun to see Rylie again, and to spend time focusing on her. Here are some of my favorite portraits from her “Get to Know You” Session last week.

I had fun with Ethan during his Get to Know You Session in mid-June! He’s incredibly sweet, lots of fun, and totally adorable! I look forward to photographing him as he becomes a Bar Mitzvah this October!

I spent some time with Claire and her family in the beautiful Missouri Botanical Garden just in time to get the last of the color before winter finally took away all of the leaves. Claire’s Bat Mitzvah is in March, and I have no doubt that she will be less than amazing! She is so sweet and kind, but also exudes beauty and confidence. I look forward to seeing her up on the bimah next year!

In just a few weeks, Ilana will step onto the Bimah at synagogue to lead services and read from the Torah as a Jewish adult. Since I was able to photograph her brother’s Bar Mitzvah two and a half years ago, it’s especially fun to get to see Ilana in the spotlight this time. She is fun, energetic, strong, determined, and adorable! I’m excited to see her shine next month!

It is so hard to believe that I began photographing Ellior’s family during her big sister’s Get to Know You Session back in 2011, and now, only five years later, after also photographing her two big brothers, it’s finally Ellior’s turn!! I’ve been so honored to be part of this family’s special moments, and can’t wait to see how amazing Ellior will be on the Bimah in May!

I’ve known this soon-to-be Bar Mitzvah boy for years, and have had the pleasure of celebrating many holidays, Shabbatot, and my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah with him and his family, but it wasn’t until after his “Get to Know You” Session that he totally opened up to me. I felt so special when he sprung up a fun conversation with me when I saw him at a Bar Mitzvah party a couple of weeks later! He’s sooo sweet and completely adorable. I’m super excited to capture his big weekend next Spring and to celebrate another special moment with his family!!

I’ve known David since Kindergarten, and have been photographing him for almost as long, so it’s crazy to see him so grown up!! Luckily, he’s still a sweet, funny, adorable guy, and I can’t wait to be a part of his Bar Mitzvah in November!

I had a great time with Sam (and his dad who said lots of silly things to get him to laugh) at the stadium! We couldn’t get inside for a spontaneous tour, but Dad sure tried! I look forward to seeing you up on the Bimah Sam!!

Although I’ve watched Hannah growing up at synagogue over the last few years, I haven’t really gotten to spend time getting to know her, so her pre-Bat Mitzvah portrait session was really special. She is super sweet and totally adorable, and I can’t wait to see her on the bimah leading Shabbat services!!

I think we got some cute photos of Graham during his pre-bar mitzvah portrait session!! He’s kind, polite, and very handsome. I look forward to seeing him on the bimah at his bar mitzvah rehearsal next month!
